Breaking down a press release

Most of PGN's gaming news comes from press releases which have to be edited before being released. This is because some press releases contain some information that are not for the public e.g. usernames/passwords which is why as en editor you have to be very careful when you publish press releases. For this article, you'll see a couple of press releases coming from different sources and we'll tag the areas that need to be edited and/or removed. It takes a couple of getting used to but it gets easier the more press releases you encounter.

Here's how we break down a sample of Kalypso Media's press release.

      Press Release Title - This is going to be the title of your news. You can change it if you want as long as it still conveys the same message.

     News Content (Intro + Story) - This will form the Intro of your news content and the Story part of your news content.

     Press Release Title - This is usually the part of the press release that you either upload or ignore since they contain confidential information.

     Screenshots - This is the part of the press release that you upload to the Screenshots section.
